Vegan Cake Doughnuts – Super Easy Recipe

What is left from 2 dozen mini doughnuts

Vegan Cake Doughnuts

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Combine all dry ingredients.  Stir in wet ingredients.  Spray doughnut pans. (I used the ones pictured below).  Fill each doughnut hole 2/3 full.  Bake at 325° for 10-15 minutes.  Cool then glaze, roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture or eat plain.  You can also top glazed doughnuts with sprinkles, nuts, chocolate, etc.

Glaze (optional):
1 1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
3 tablespoons warm water
