These pancakes tasted like chocolate banana bread!

Chocolate Chip Banana Pancakes

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 cups organic all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 1 1/2 ripe banana, mashed
  • 3/4 cup carob chips (or vegan chocolate chips)

Pre-heat griddle or frying pan.

Whisk dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients together.  Add wet ingredients to dry.  Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Cook pancakes until browned, about 4 minutes each side.
