Natural-Labeled Cereals Found to Contain GMO’s

Posted on November 17, 2011

At the beginning of the year I found out that I had to become more diligent about reading packaging and researching brands before making the purchase and preparing foods for my family. Unfortunately, it has recently come to light, thanks to Natural News and The Cornucopia Institute, that many breakfast cereal brands that I have trusted have just been reported to contain significant amounts of pesticides and GMO’s (Genetically Modified Organism).

In January, I shared this post about how not all Morningstar Farms products are vegan.

In August, I shared another post about actions Whole Foods, Stoneyfield Farms, United Natural Foods and other “natural” company giants are taking that are not congruent to the previous natural standards that they portrayed.

And now Natural News released this article, and The Cornucopia Institute issued this article addressing “natural” cereals that have been found to contain GMO’s and pesticides.  After you take a look at both articles, be sure to check this scorecard for your cereal brand.
