Cupcake Wars

We love Food Network’s Cupcake Wars.  Our favorite contenders, whom are vegan and have proven to be inspirational, even to my little ones, are Chloe Coscarelli (of Chef, Doron Petersan (of Washington D.C.’s Sticky Fingers Bakery) and Kim Garr (of of L.A.’s C’est La V Bakeshop).  My kids have been into the show so much that they recently asked if they could have their own Cupcake War at home.

After they got the go-ahead (uh, two yummy vegan desserts for us to enjoy that I don’t have to bake?!), they raced to my cookbooks to find their winning recipe.

W picked out the Oatmeal Raisin Drops from our Vitamix cookbook.

K picked out the Jelly Doughnut Cupcake recipe from Veganomicon.

I basically stood in the middle of the kitchen going from one counter to the other when either needed a little help.

The winner was…both of them, of course!
