Before I share a couple of great Target deals I found today, including some ultra-cute and functional lunch kits, I have to tell you about dinner tonight. We sat down to eat a super yummy sweet and spicy stew from the FFVK. It is a ritual in our family to sing the “God Our Father” prayer. Well, Baby M. started it when we joined hands. Chris and I met eyes. It was really an amazing moment; that our 13-month-old sweet baby is demonstrating that we are hopefully doing our job in “bringing up our child in the way he should go.”
So from that happy moment, on to another happy moment I had today. The kids and I stopped by Target to pick up a couple of birthday gifts. Of course, I had to make my way all the way around the store since I only allow myself to go there and splurge every couple of months.
In the seasonal section of housewares, they have tons of outdoor kitchen products. I found a bright, lovely kitchen towel that will liven up our mornings as it hangs on the oven door. Just past that end-cap, these sectioned lunch trays caught my eye:
The size is perfect for picnics. They will also be great to take our lunches on field trips or to a friend’s house. They take up little room and stack together nicely, without sliding!
Other honorable mention deals this week:
Market Pantry Oranges 5 lb bag $3.99
Simply Lemonade or Limeade $1.99 (has been priced a lot higher lately)
Cardamom! I cannot remember the exact price difference between the Target brand and the cardamom at Publix, but it is significant. In fact, it was so high at Publix, I had planned on omitting it from a recipe.
