Green Smoothies, Antioxidant Smoothies and Beet Smoothies – Day 1

One of the best ways I have found to increase my family’s raw food intake is with smoothies.  Many mornings and some afternoons, I toss whatever fruits, vegetables and sometimes supplements I have on hand into the blender so we can enjoy a refreshing, healthy meal.

I have been asked several times over the past couple of weeks to share my smoothie recipes.  You can really use anything you have on hand.  Today, I am sharing my Green Smoothie recipe.  Look for my Antioxidant and Beet Smoothie recipes in the next few days.

Green Smoothie:


  • 1 large handful fresh baby spinach leaves
  • 1 bag frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana or 3 dates
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ground flax seed
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar
