Mom’s Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe

When I was a kid, Halloween pumpkin carving was always fun in and of itself.  But almost just as enjoyable as coming up with that perfect new jack-o-lantern face for the year was smelling Mom’s Roasted Pumpkin Seeds toasting away in the toaster oven.

Mom’s Roasted Pumpkin Seeds:


  • Wash and allow seeds to air dry.  (Tip:  To speed drying time, you can use a hair dryer).
  • Drizzle seeds with melted Earth Balance Buttery Spread.
  • Place seeds in a single layer on baking tray.
  • For a sweet treat, sprinkle seeds with cinnamon.  You can also use ginger and/or allspice.
  • For a savory treat, try garlic salt.
  • For natural seeds, sprinkle with sea salt.
