Central Florida VegFest 2010

Posted on October 25, 2010

This past Saturday was the 2010 Central Florida VegFest.

Loch Haven Park in Orlando was full of all things veg related to Orlando.

Some of our favorite vendors were the several pet rescue booths, especially the one with the friendly pugs, the book publishing company where I bought my brand new Smoothie Power book, a local vegan artist who had beads for the kids to make their own necklaces, another artist with a community art project that we helped paint and Hoover’s Essential Health Market especially since they gave away coupons!

As for the food…well…I wish VegFest was a weekly event!  There was an abundance of healthy, vegan fare.  Below are a few snapshots of some of the delicious food we enjoyed.

Drunken Monkey’s Pestamore’

Drunken Monkey’s Vegan “Chicken” Bowl

Ethos’ Vegan Mac and Cheese

Spicy Chili from Joe’s Oat Patties

Combo and a Pineapple Skewer from Garden Cafe’

And since we were there for several hours, we managed to justify several treats:  Ethos Chocolate Chip and Snickerdoodle Cookies; Fruit Sorbet and a Cuppy Cake and Brownie from Raphsodic.
