The summer of my fifth and sixth grade years, I spent my days at the Girls’ Club. We got to do all kinds of fun things like swim, play tether ball, learn jump rope rhymes and tricks, watch “Splash” (remember the original mermaid movie?) for the first time and learn from Mama Black how to make
Fruity Breakfast Pizza.
I obviously don’t remember Mama Black’s recipe since that was um…a lifetime ago, but my family enjoyed this simple rendition for breakfast one morning last week.
Here they are coming together in the prep area.
And going into the oven…The kids were stoked.
Fruity Breakfast Pizza:
- English Muffins (I used Food for Life Whole Grain Sprouted Muffins)
- Vegan Cream Cheese
- A Sprinkling of Cinnamon and Sugar
- Fruit of Choice, cut into bite-size pieces (I used Strawberries, Bananas and Peaches)
Halve muffins. Spread with cream cheese and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Arrange fruit on top, and toast in oven.
